Year 4 Week 4: Clinical Pathology Rotation
This week we had our clinical pathology rotation. This was a week packed full of analyzing laboratory values and dusting off some of the important information we learned earlier in our curriculum. Y4 Week 3: Business, Mock Negotiation, and Churro's Gotcha Day Celebration!
All of this week revolved around a business course. Dr. Jim Clark led us through multiple case studies, and we were able to deconstruct some of the mysteries behind the veterinary business, contracts, and student debt. I had little knowledge of these topics prior to this week’s material, and I am extremely grateful we are exposed to this content. Y4 Week 2: Orientation Part 2, Hospital Tours, and a 438 Study Session!
This week was our second week of clinical orientation, and we started things off with an awesome urinary catheter and feeding tube management lab. This lab was similar to the clinical skills lab we had the week before and was a nice way to practice some of the skills we will need to use as we enter the clinic.
